France publishes application fees in euros, but applicants in Pakistan pay the exact PKR equivalent at the current chancellery rate. AEG appointment/passport-return tariffs and optional services sit outside the visa fee.

AEG Appointment, Then French Embassy Islamabad
The French Embassy in Islamabad examines applications and is the only authority that decides them. The local journey is different from many VFS-managed Schengen routes.
Attend in Islamabad
The interview and biometrics take place at the French Embassy visa section by appointment.
Not Karachi
The Consulate General in Karachi does not receive visa applications and does not issue visas.
France-Visas Pakistan states that individual interview and biometrics are compulsory, with fingerprint/photo collection required for applicants over age 12. Follow any exemption or reuse instruction issued for your case.

90/180 rule: a short-stay visa can authorise no more than 90 days in any 180-day period. The issued sticker determines the actual validity, entries and permitted stay.
Study and Work Have Different Fees & Gatekeepers
A long-stay application is not an extended tourist visa. Admission or employment must exist before the visa stage.
