Pakistani passport holders need a Standard Visitor Visa before travelling to the UK. Check the current 2026 fee, evidence, application steps and new eVisa process.
Standard Visitor Visa
3 months before travel
Usually up to 6 months
From £135 per applicant
Usually within 3 weeks
A long checklist alone does not make a strong application. UKVI looks at whether your purpose, finances and personal circumstances form one credible temporary-visit story.

Tourism is one permitted purpose, but the same visitor route also covers several other short activities. Extra evidence can apply to study, medical treatment or paid engagements.
Sightseeing, holidays and other genuine leisure travel.
A temporary visit to relatives or friends living in the UK.
Meetings, conferences and certain business activities—not UK employment.
An eligible course, placement or exam within the visitor rules.
Private treatment supported by the required provider and funding evidence.
A qualifying, pre-arranged engagement for an expert in their profession.
There is no universal document pack. Submit evidence relevant to your circumstances and avoid material that does not help explain the visit.
No fixed bank balance: UKVI does not publish a minimum amount that guarantees approval. Funds should be credible for your income, sponsor, trip length and planned costs.
Read the official UK supporting-document guide before submitting your file.
Government application fees effective from 8 April 2026. Longer validity permits repeat visits; it does not normally extend one visit beyond 6 months.

UKVI normally emails the outcome and, if approved, provides digital-status guidance.
The published Standard Visitor service time is usually 3 weeks after you provide your identity and documents. Extra checks can take longer; do not book non-refundable travel before a decision.
The digital-status process launched for Pakistani visitor applicants in February 2026. Eligibility and decision standards have not changed.

You still attend a visa application centre for fingerprints and a photograph.
If approved, follow the email instructions to access your eVisa through your UKVI account.
You can generally retain your passport after biometrics. Follow the instructions issued for your own application.

A clear, proportionate application is more useful than a large bundle of unrelated documents.
Large recent credits without a credible source can weaken the financial story.
Dates, accommodation and spending should be realistic for the applicant or sponsor.
A vague cover letter or itinerary makes it harder to understand the reason for travel.
Employment, income, family and travel details should match across the form and evidence.
A sponsor should show the relationship, ability to pay and reason for support.
Documents not in English or Welsh need a complete, independently verifiable translation.
EasyVisa reviews consistency—not outcomes. UKVI assesses every application independently.
EasyVisa helps organise your travel purpose, financial evidence, sponsor documents and application answers before you submit through the official UK process.
Important: EasyVisa is not part of the UK government and does not issue visas. Apply and pay through GOV.UK. The final decision rests solely with UKVI.
