The Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani travellers is one of the few Central Asian visas you can get fully online, without an embassy appointment or a passport courier. Pakistani ordinary passport holders are not visa-free in Kyrgyzstan, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs runs an official e-Visa portal where Pakistan can select a Tourist (TS) e-Visa for up to 30 days, pay by card and receive the decision by email.

This guide explains exactly how that works today: which visa to choose, the real fees and review times shown on the portal, the documents that cause most returns, the simpler route for Pakistanis who live in the Gulf, entry points and registration, flights to Bishkek and a realistic trip budget. If you are weighing several destinations, our e-visa services for every destination page shows the other online visas we handle. Every rule below was re-checked on the official Kyrgyz e-Visa portal on 3 November 2026.

Kyrgyzstan Visa for Pakistani Passport Holders: The Short Answer

Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani travellers - Pakistani family of four crossing Ala-Too Square in Bishkek with the Manas statue and snow-capped mountains behind

Here is the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani passport holders in four lines. First, an ordinary green Pakistani passport needs a visa; the portal's own eligibility checker shows "no" for both the visa-free and the facilitated regime. Second, the visa can be requested online on evisa.e-gov.kg, where Pakistan is listed with a Tourist (TS) e-Visa. Third, the standard review takes 5 working days. Fourth, the approved e-Visa is an email document you print and carry; it gives the same right to enter as a sticker visa in the passport.

That makes Kyrgyzstan noticeably easier than many destinations Pakistanis ask us about. There is no biometrics appointment in Islamabad, no original documents to post and no interview before travel. The trade-off is that the portal is strict about details: a wrong passport number, a blurry scan or a missing translation can get the application returned or rejected, and the fee is not refunded.

Which passports are visa-free?

Only Pakistani diplomatic and service (official) passport holders are visa-free, for up to 30 days, under the bilateral arrangement shown in the portal's checker. Everyone travelling on an ordinary passport, including children and infants listed in a parent's passport, needs their own e-Visa. The portal is explicit that each traveller must obtain a separate e-Visa.

Is the Tourist e-Visa the right category?

For holidays, sightseeing, trekking, visiting Issyk-Kul or a family trip, yes. The Tourist visa (type TS) is issued for short stays for tourism with a validity of up to 30 days, and it cannot be issued while you are already inside Kyrgyzstan, so apply from Pakistan or wherever you live. Business meetings need the Business (B) category, and anyone planning to work or study needs a different visa altogether; a tourist visa does not allow employment. For a general overview of how tourist visas from Pakistan are assessed, see our tourist visa guide.

Kyrgyzstan Visa Fee for Pakistani Travellers and Processing Time

For the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani passport holders, the portal shows the price only after you pick the passport country, visa type, service level and number of entries. For a Pakistani ordinary passport and the Tourist (TS) e-Visa, valid for one month, these were the figures on 3 November 2026:

OptionStandard service (5 working days)Review within 2 business days
Single entry, 1 monthUS$51.50 (4,503.68 som)US$154.50 (13,511.03 som)
Multiple entry, 1 monthUS$61.80 (5,404.41 som)US$185.40 (16,213.23 som)

The amount is charged in Kyrgyz som by the portal's payment system, so your Pakistani bank converts it at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee. The card does not have to be in your name, which helps families where one person pays for everyone, but it must be enabled for international online payments. Many Pakistani debit cards have this switched off by default; turn it on in your banking app before you reach the payment step.

Single or multiple entry?

Most Pakistani visitors only need single entry. Choose multiple entry if you plan to cross into a neighbouring country and come back during the same month, for example a side trip that leaves Kyrgyzstan and returns through Bishkek. Remember that any neighbouring country needs its own visa for a Pakistani passport, so plan that part separately.

How long the review really takes

The portal states that the review period of 5 working days starts once all the necessary information has been corrected or the required documents have been added. In practice that means the clock restarts if the system returns your file for a fix. Kyrgyz public holidays and weekends do not count as working days, so apply at least two to three weeks before your flight. The faster option, called "Consideration of the application within 2 business days", costs three times as much; use it for genuine emergencies rather than as a substitute for planning.

Not sure which option suits your dates? Send us your travel month on WhatsApp +92 331 1442249 and we will tell you which one makes sense before you pay anything.

Refunds

The Kyrgyzstan visa fee for Pakistani applicants is non-refundable in every case: if the e-Visa is denied, if you made a mistake in the form, or if you do not use it. That is the single best reason to check the application carefully before you pay.

How to Apply for the Kyrgyzstan e-Visa on evisa.e-gov.kg

The whole Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani applicants is filed on one government website. Type the address yourself rather than clicking adverts, because several private sites copy the look of the portal and add their own charges. The official address ends in .gov.kg. From the portal homepage, these are the steps:

  1. Check eligibility. Open Information, then "Do I need visa?", and select Pakistan. The table confirms that ordinary passports need a visa and shows the note for Gulf resident-card holders.
  2. Start the application. Click "Apply for a visa". Choose Pakistan as the country that issued your passport, passport type Ordinary, visa type Tourist (TS), the service level (standard or 2 business days) and single or multiple entry. The fee appears at this point.
  3. Verify your email. The portal sends a verification email that is valid for 72 hours. If you do not confirm it in time, the application is cancelled and you start again. Check the spam folder.
  4. Fill in the form in English. Personal details exactly as printed in the passport, travel dates within the visa validity, the address where you will stay and your contact details.
  5. Upload documents. A clear colour scan of the passport data page and a recent digital photo, plus any extra document the system asks for (see the next section).
  6. Preview and confirm. This is your last chance to change anything. After payment, data cannot be edited and you would need a new application.
  7. Pay by card. You receive a payment confirmation email with your reference number. Keep it safe; the portal treats it like a password.
  8. Track and print. Use "Check status" with your reference number. When the e-Visa is issued, print it and keep a PDF on your phone; the printed Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani travellers may be checked by the airline at check-in as well as at the border.

If the system returns your application

A return is not a refusal. The portal emails you when it needs a correction, an extra document or a payment. Go back to Services, then Check status, enter the reference number and the lines that need changes are marked in red. Click the tick icon next to each line, make the change, click the icon again and press Submit. The 5 working day review then starts again from that point, so reply quickly.

Kyrgyzstan visa check by passport number or QR code

Many Pakistani travellers search for a way to check a Kyrgyz visa online. The official way is the "Check status" page on the same portal, using the reference number from your emails. Treat any other site that asks for your passport number and a payment to "check" your visa with suspicion.

Kyrgyzstan Visa for Pakistani Applicants: Documents, Statement Letter and Mistakes

The official FAQ keeps the document list short: a valid passport, a photo and a card, with scanned copies uploaded "according to the visa type". The details behind that list are where most problems with a Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani applicants start.

Passport rules for the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani applicants

  • Valid for at least 6 months after the end of the visa validity you request, not just after your return date.
  • At least 2 free pages.
  • Undamaged and without unofficial remarks or stamps. A torn laminate or water damage is a reason to renew first.

Photo and scans

Use a recent passport-style photo with a plain light background, the face clearly visible and no glare on glasses. Scan the passport data page in colour, flat and complete, including the two machine-readable lines at the bottom. Phone photos taken under a tube light often have a white glare stripe across those lines, which is a common cause of returns.

The statement letter for a Tourist e-Visa

Under its application forms, the portal publishes a sample statement letter for the Tourist (TS) e-Visa, addressed to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There are two versions. In the first, you write personally, giving your name, citizenship and passport details, the period requested and the reason for the trip. In the second, a Kyrgyz organisation such as a tour company or hotel confirms it is inviting you and will support your stay with accommodation and excursions.

The portal does not say which nationalities must upload it, so our advice is simple: keep a signed personal statement letter ready as a PDF, and if the system or the reviewing officer asks for one, upload it straight away. If you have booked a tour with a Kyrgyz operator, ask them early whether they can issue the organisation version on their letterhead.

Translations

The FAQ says all documentation should be presented in Kyrgyz or Russian or translated into one of them. Your passport is already in English and machine-readable, but supporting papers such as a bank letter or an employment certificate may need a translation if the officer requests them. Write the statement letter in English with a Russian translation alongside to avoid a return.

Supporting documents worth keeping ready

  • Hotel booking or tour confirmation for every night.
  • A return or onward flight reservation (not a paid ticket yet; see below).
  • Recent bank statement and, for employees, a salary certificate or NOC; for business owners, registration papers.
  • Travel insurance with medical cover, strongly recommended for mountain trips.
  • For a child travelling with one parent, a consent letter from the other parent.

Our general documents required for visa checklist explains how to prepare bank statements and employment letters so they read clearly to any visa officer.

Mistakes that get applications returned or rejected

  • Buying the air ticket first. The portal itself asks applicants to avoid buying the ticket before the approval notice arrives. Hold a reservation instead.
  • Typing errors. The portal warns that mistakes in the filled information lead to rejection, and you cannot fix data after payment.
  • Wrong visa type. Choosing Business or Sapar for a holiday creates document requests you cannot meet.
  • Applying from inside Kyrgyzstan. The Tourist category is not issued to someone already in the country.
  • A blocked card. Payment failures at the last step are common with cards not enabled for international use.
  • Using a lookalike website. Only evisa.e-gov.kg is official.

Pakistanis Living in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or the Gulf: The Simplified Route

Thousands of Pakistanis searching for the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani UAE residents live and work in the Gulf, and the portal treats them differently. When you select Pakistan in the eligibility checker, the note for ordinary passports says there is a simplified procedure and the opportunity to obtain a tourist visa for up to 1 month if you hold a resident card of one of these seven countries:

  • United Arab Emirates
  • Kuwait
  • Qatar
  • Brunei Darussalam
  • Oman
  • Bahrain
  • Saudi Arabia

The portal defines a resident card as a document confirming the right to long-term residence in a country for someone who is not its citizen, so a UAE residence visa with Emirates ID, a Saudi iqama, a Qatar ID or an Omani resident card is what this means in practice. The checker does not publish a minimum validity, but keep the card valid well beyond your return date because you need it to re-enter the Gulf.

How to use the simplified route

You still apply for the same Tourist (TS) e-Visa on the same portal and pay the same fee, so the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani residents of the Gulf costs exactly the same as from Lahore or Karachi. The difference is that your resident card supports the application, so upload a clear scan of both sides together with the passport. Saudi residents should also check that their exit and re-entry visa covers the whole trip, and UAE residents should keep at least a few months of residence validity left.

Flying from the Gulf

For Gulf-based Pakistanis, Kyrgyzstan is often closer than home. Dubai and Sharjah have had direct flights to Bishkek of roughly four hours (check current schedules), which makes a long weekend in the mountains realistic. If you are comparing other short trips from the Gulf, our Baku visa requirements for Pakistanis page covers a similar e-Visa destination in the Caucasus.

Arriving in Bishkek or Osh: Entry Points, Border Checks and Registration

Pakistani brothers climbing the stone steps of Sulaiman-Too sacred mountain above the city of Osh in southern Kyrgyzstan

Getting the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani travellers approved is only half the job; the other half is entering at the right place. The portal's terms state that an electronic visa received through the portal can be used only if you travel via three points:

  • Manas International Airport in Bishkek (airport code FRU), where almost all international flights land.
  • Osh International Airport (OSS) in the south, useful for the Fergana Valley and the Pamir Highway region.
  • The Ak-dzol checkpoint, usually written Ak-Zhol, the main road crossing from Kazakhstan near Bishkek.

Plan your route around these. Arriving by road through a different land border on an e-Visa is a risk you should not take. Entering by road from Kazakhstan also needs a separate Kazakh visa for a Pakistani passport, so most Pakistani travellers simply fly into Bishkek or Osh.

What to carry at the border

An approved e-Visa is not a promise of entry. Border officers can still ask about your plans, so carry the printed e-Visa, your hotel bookings, the return ticket, a copy of your bank statement and some cash. Answer questions simply and consistently with what you wrote in the application. Officers mainly speak Kyrgyz and Russian, and English is not always available, so a printed itinerary helps.

Registration after arrival

The portal's important information section says foreign citizens, except those from countries on an exemption list, must register at their place of stay within 5 working days after the moment of entry. Hotels commonly handle registration for guests, but do not assume it: when you book, ask the hotel in writing whether it registers foreign guests, and if you stay in a private flat or with friends, ask your host how they will do it. Keep the registration slip with your passport until you leave.

Staying within the 30 days

The Tourist e-Visa covers a stay of up to 30 days within its validity. The FAQ explains the difference: validity is the window in which the visa can be used, and duration of stay is how long you may remain. Overstaying leads to fines and can affect future applications, so book your return flight inside the permitted stay.

Flights from Pakistan to Bishkek and a Realistic Trip Budget

Pakistani family of five walking between the red rock formations of Skazka Fairy Tale Canyon on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake

Once the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani travellers is approved, flights are the next big decision. Most journeys from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or Peshawar involve one connection, typically through Dubai with flydubai, Sharjah with Air Arabia or Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. Schedules and direct services change, so check the current options on the airline website before you book. A connecting booking will show airline codes such as FZ, G9 or TK and FRU for Bishkek; the airline codes directory on IATA.co decodes which carrier and airport each code belongs to, which helps when an online travel agency mixes two airlines on one itinerary.

Keep both legs on one ticket where possible, so a delay on the first flight is the airline's responsibility. If you need a night in Dubai or Sharjah on the way, that requires a UAE visa; staying airside on a normal connection does not. Bishkek is one hour ahead of Pakistan, a small change that makes the trip easy for children and older parents.

A realistic budget per person

Kyrgyzstan is one of the better-value trips available to Pakistanis. These are planning ranges for a 7 night trip per person, not Easy Visa quotes:

ItemWhat to plan for
Tourist e-VisaUS$51.50 single entry on standard service, plus bank conversion charges
Return flights with one stopVaries widely with season and booking time; summer school holidays and Eid are the most expensive
Mid-range hotel in BishkekRoughly US$40 to US$90 per room per night
Guesthouse or yurt camp in the mountainsOften priced per person with meals; roughly US$25 to US$50
FoodHalal food is the norm; a filling meal of plov, laghman or shashlik costs a few dollars
TransportRide-hailing apps in Bishkek are cheap; a private car with driver for Issyk-Kul or Song-Kol is the main cost

Estimates only: prices move with the season and the rupee, and nothing here is a fixed package price. For a quote that matches your dates and group size, message WhatsApp +92 331 1442249 with your city and travel month.

A simple 7-day plan for Pakistani families

  • Days 1 and 2, Bishkek: Ala-Too Square and the Manas statue, Oak Park, Osh Bazaar for dried fruit and spices, and Friday prayers at the large Central Mosque.
  • Day 3, Ala Archa National Park: about an hour south of the city, with easy valley walks under snowy peaks.
  • Days 4 and 5, Issyk-Kul: the huge mountain lake; Cholpon-Ata on the north shore for swimming in summer, and the red rocks of Skazka Canyon on the south shore.
  • Day 6, Burana Tower: an eleventh-century minaret near Tokmok on the way back, with carved stone figures in the field around it.
  • Day 7, Bishkek and departure.

From mid-June to mid-September, many families swap a lake day for a night in a yurt camp at Song-Kol, a high-altitude lake above 3,000 metres. Nights there are cold even in July, so pack warm layers. Winter brings skiing near Karakol but shorter days and snowy mountain roads.

Kyrgyzstan Visa for Pakistani Travellers: FAQs

Pakistani couple in their sixties walking past carved balbal stone figures near the Burana Tower in the Chuy Valley of Kyrgyzstan

Is there a Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani citizens, or is it visa-free?

Ordinary Pakistani passport holders need a visa. Only diplomatic and service passports are visa-free for up to 30 days. Tourists can apply for the Tourist (TS) e-Visa online at evisa.e-gov.kg.

What is the Kyrgyzstan visa fee for Pakistani travellers?

For the one-month Tourist e-Visa the portal showed US$51.50 for single entry and US$61.80 for multiple entry on standard service on 3 November 2026. Review within 2 business days costs US$154.50 or US$185.40. Fees are charged in som and are non-refundable.

How long does the Kyrgyzstan e-Visa take for Pakistanis?

The standard review is 5 working days from the moment your application is complete. The paid faster option is reviewed within 2 business days. Apply two to three weeks before travel to leave time for any correction request.

Do Pakistanis need an invitation letter for a Kyrgyzstan tourist visa?

The portal provides a statement letter template for the Tourist e-Visa, which can be signed by you or by an inviting Kyrgyz organisation, but it does not list which nationalities must upload it. Keep a signed personal statement letter ready and upload it if the system asks.

Is the Kyrgyzstan visa for Pakistani UAE residents different?

Pakistani passport holders with a resident card from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain or Brunei have a simplified procedure for a tourist visa of up to one month. They still apply on the same portal and pay the same fee.

Can I work in Kyrgyzstan on a tourist e-Visa?

No. The Tourist (TS) visa is for tourism only. Work requires a different visa and permit arranged through an employer in Kyrgyzstan.

Is Kyrgyzstan safe for Pakistani tourists?

Kyrgyzstan is a popular, relaxed destination for visitors, and as a Muslim-majority country it is easy for Pakistani families in terms of food and prayer. Follow your hotel's advice, use registered taxis or ride-hailing apps, keep your passport and registration with you, and check official travel advice before you go.

Can Easy Visa guarantee a Kyrgyzstan e-Visa?

No. The Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs decides every e-Visa and border officers decide entry, so no consultant can promise the outcome. Easy Visa checks your documents, helps prepare the statement letter and files the application accurately with you so your file is as strong as it can be.

Ready to plan Kyrgyzstan?
