The Seychelles visa for Pakistani travellers is one of the simplest entry processes in the Indian Ocean, because there is no visa at all. Seychelles lets every nationality in visa-free. What you do need is an online Travel Authorisation before you fly and a free Visitor's Permit stamped on arrival at Mahe, and both depend on paperwork that many first-time travellers from Pakistan get wrong: a return ticket, a hotel from the approved list and proof of enough money for every day of the trip.

This guide explains exactly how the Seychelles visa for Pakistani passport holders works in practice: the Travel Authorisation step by step, the real fees and processing tiers, what the immigration officer checks at the airport, flights from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, a sensible budget and a honeymoon plan for couples. If you are still comparing destinations, our list of visa-free countries for Pakistan shows where else you can go without an embassy visa. Every rule below was re-checked on official Seychelles government sources on 1 November 2026.

Seychelles Visa for Pakistani Passport Holders: The Short Answer

Seychelles visa for Pakistani travellers - Pakistani family of three walking past the silver Victoria clock tower in the Seychelles capital on Mahe

Here is the whole Seychelles visa for Pakistani passport holders in three lines. First, there is no visa and no embassy appointment; the Immigration and Civil Status department states that a visa is not required to enter Seychelles. Second, every visitor, including children and babies, must hold an approved Travel Authorisation before boarding. Third, an immigration officer at Seychelles International Airport on Mahe issues a free Visitor's Permit when you land, provided you meet the conditions.

That makes Seychelles very different from destinations where Pakistanis wait weeks for an embassy decision. There is no visa sticker, no biometrics appointment in Islamabad and no visa fee in the usual sense. The only payment before travel is the Travel Authorisation fee, and the decision on the standard tier comes within 24 hours.

Travel Authorisation versus Visitor's Permit

People mix these two up, so it is worth separating them clearly:

  • Travel Authorisation (TA): an online pre-screening on the official Seychelles Electronic Border System. It replaced the old blue paper arrival card, checks your identity, health declaration, flights and hotel, and it is what the airline checks at the check-in counter in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad or Dubai.
  • Visitor's Permit: the actual permission to stay, granted by the immigration officer on arrival. It is free for the first three months and is normally matched to the date on your return ticket.

An approved TA is not a promise of entry. The official portal itself says that Seychelles Immigration reserves the right to deny entry on arrival. In practice, travellers who carry the right documents and tell the truth about their trip pass through quickly, but it is the officer at the desk who makes the final call, not the website, the airline or any agent.

Is the Seychelles visa for Pakistani residents of the UAE or Saudi Arabia any different?

No. Pakistanis living in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh or Jeddah follow exactly the same process, because Seychelles is visa-free for everyone. Your UAE or Saudi residence does not replace the TA, and you still need a return ticket, hotel booking and funds. Many Gulf-based Pakistani families actually find Seychelles one of the easiest long-weekend trips, as the Gulf hubs have the most flights to Mahe. If you also hold an eTA for another country, our page on electronic travel authorizations explains how these systems differ from a real visa.

Seychelles Travel Authorisation Step by Step on seychelles.govtas.com

Pakistani man filling in the Seychelles Travel Authorisation on a laptop in a Karachi co-working space with his passport beside him

Applying for the Seychelles visa for Pakistani travellers, which in practice means the Travel Authorisation, usually takes 15 to 20 minutes if everything is ready. Use only the Seychelles Electronic Border System at seychelles.govtas.com or the official Seychelles e-Border app. Lookalike websites charge several times the real fee and some simply take the money, so type the address yourself rather than clicking an advert.

Before you open the form

The portal will not accept a TA without trip details. Its own FAQ says you can only apply after booking your airline ticket and your accommodation. So the order is always: book flights, book an approved hotel, then apply. Have these ready on your phone or laptop:

  • Your Pakistani passport (the photo page must be clear, with no glare on the MRZ lines).
  • A selfie taken in good light against a plain background.
  • Your email address and a working mobile number, ideally with WhatsApp.
  • The airline booking confirmation showing both arrival and departure dates.
  • Hotel booking confirmation for every place you will stay, with the name of each establishment.
  • A Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card enabled for international online payments.

The application, screen by screen

  1. Choose the visitor option and start a new Travel Authorisation. Families can add up to six people in one application; the app keeps each person's profile for future trips.
  2. Scan or upload your passport. Check that the name, passport number and dates were read correctly. A single wrong letter is the most common reason for a later correction request.
  3. Take or upload the selfie. No sunglasses, caps or filters. A dupatta or hijab is fine as long as the face is fully visible.
  4. Enter trip details: flight numbers, arrival date at Mahe, departure date and your accommodation on each island.
  5. Upload the flight and hotel confirmations as clear PDFs or screenshots.
  6. Answer the health and customs declarations honestly, including whether you carry cash of SCR 50,000 or more.
  7. Choose the processing tier (standard, premium or expedited) and pay by card. The tier cannot be changed after submission.
  8. Watch your email. If something is missing, the system emails a link to update the application. Once approved, save the PDF on your phone and print one copy for check-in.

When to apply: timing the Seychelles visa for Pakistani families

The portal's current FAQ allows applications within 30 days before arrival, while an older Ministry of Foreign Affairs page still mentions 10 days. For a Pakistani family flying out of Karachi or Lahore, the safest window is 7 to 14 days before departure: late enough that your bookings are final, early enough to fix a rejected selfie or blurry upload. Never leave it to the night before.

The FAQ is clear that if the TA is not approved by the time you depart, you cannot travel. Paying for a TA does not lock your dates, so if your flight changes, update the booking details before you fly.

One more practical point for Pakistani applicants: many local debit cards have international e-commerce switched off by default. Enable international online payments in your banking app, or call your bank, before you start, otherwise the payment step fails and the application sits unfinished.

Seychelles Visa Fee for Pakistani Travellers and Processing Time

Because there is no visa, the “Seychelles visa fee for Pakistani” travellers search for is really the Travel Authorisation fee. These are the figures on the official Seychelles Electronic Border System fee page as checked on 1 November 2026:

Processing tierDecision withinAdultsChildren 12 and under
Standard24 hoursEUR 10EUR 10
Premium6 hoursEUR 30EUR 30
Expedited60 minutesEUR 70EUR 30
No TA on arrivalApply at the airportTA fee plus EUR 30 penalty

The portal adds that these fees do not include bank charges and are subject to change. Since January 2026, Seychelles media have reported a checkout total of about EUR 12.06 for a standard application once government charges and the bank fee are added, so plan for roughly EUR 12 to 13 per person on the standard tier. Your Pakistani card will also add its own currency conversion charge, which you will see on the statement in rupees.

Is the fee refundable?

No. The FAQ states that the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, including when an application is denied or plans change. That is another reason to apply only after your bookings are final, and to make sure each traveller's details are correct the first time.

Processing time: how fast is the Seychelles visa for Pakistani applicants?

The official processing times are the tier times above, and they are maximums: a clean application can be decided sooner, but never plan on that. There is no separate, slower track for Pakistani passports on the official site. What slows applications down is almost always the paperwork: an unclear passport scan, a hotel that is not on the approved list or a flight booking that does not show the return date. If you are short on time, premium (6 hours) is usually enough; expedited is meant for genuine last-minute emergencies.

What else costs money before you land?

  • Visitor's Permit: free for the first three months, according to the ICS Visitor's Permit page.
  • Tourism levy: from 1 January 2026, medium hotels (25 to 50 rooms) collect SCR 75 and large hotels, yachts and island resorts SCR 100 per person per night; small guesthouses of up to 24 rooms no longer charge it, and children 12 and under are exempt (see the Tourism Seychelles levy notice and the Ministry of Finance announcement). Check whether your hotel quote already includes it.
  • Travel insurance: not compulsory on the official FAQ, but strongly recommended, and UK government travel advice notes that you may be asked to show proof of cover on arrival.

Not sure which tier you need, or whether your hotel counts as approved? Send your dates and bookings on WhatsApp +92 331 1442249 and we will check them before you pay.

Visitor's Permit on Arrival: Funds, Return Ticket and Hotel Rules

Pakistani family of four walking out of Seychelles International Airport on Mahe with a luggage trolley and green mountains behind

When you land at Pointe Larue on Mahe, the immigration officer checks your TA and decides on your Visitor's Permit, the final step of the Seychelles visa for Pakistani visitors. According to the Immigration and Civil Status department, the permit is issued to visitors coming for a holiday, business visit or to see friends and family who:

  • are not a prohibited immigrant;
  • do not already hold a residence-type permit for Seychelles;
  • hold a valid return ticket, or a ticket for onward travel, covering the visit;
  • have confirmed accommodation;
  • have sufficient funds for the stay, set at a minimum of US$150 or the equivalent per day.

Proof of funds: what US$150 per day means for you

The funds rule is the part of the Seychelles visa for Pakistani travellers that people worry about most, so here is how to read it. The official wording is a minimum per day for the duration of the stay. It does not spell out whether a married couple's money is counted together, so the cautious plan is to show US$150 per traveller per day. Older ICS wording, still repeated on some consulate pages, mentions a lower US$75 per day for people staying with friends or relatives.

Days in SeychellesMinimum per person (US$150 per day)Couple, counted per person
5 daysUS$750US$1,500
7 daysUS$1,050US$2,100
10 daysUS$1,500US$3,000

Fully prepaid hotel stays are strong evidence, but officers still like to see money for food, transfers and activities. The simplest proof is an international debit or credit card plus a recent bank statement or balance letter in English from your Pakistani bank. Carrying some US dollars or euros in cash is common, but follow the State Bank of Pakistan cash limits for travellers leaving Pakistan, and declare cash of SCR 50,000 or more in your TA as the form asks.

Return ticket and approved accommodation

A one-way ticket is the quickest way to get into trouble, both at check-in and on arrival. Book a confirmed return, or an onward ticket to another country you are allowed to enter. For accommodation, the portal warns that applications made with accommodation not on the Tourism Department's list of authorised establishments may be denied. Big booking sites mostly list licensed hotels and guesthouses, but private apartments and informal rooms are risky. Stick to properties you can find on the official Seychelles tourism website, and keep each booking under the traveller's own name.

Passport validity and length of stay

ICS asks that the passport be valid for the full stay until you are back in your country of residence. Airlines often apply a stricter six-month rule for transit passengers, so a Pakistani passport with at least six months left avoids arguments at the check-in desk. The permit is first granted for up to three months, in line with your return ticket, and can be extended in three-month blocks to a maximum of 12 months for SCR 5,000 each, through the ICS online permits portal or at Independence House in Victoria. A Visitor's Permit never allows work.

Seychelles Visa for Pakistani Applicants: Documents and Common Mistakes

A clean file is the whole secret of the Seychelles visa for Pakistani applicants. Print one set of everything and keep the same set as PDFs on your phone. Pakistani airport staff and FIA immigration at departure may also ask about your trip, so a neat folder helps at both ends.

Seychelles visa for Pakistani travellers: document checklist

  • Pakistani passport, valid for the whole trip (six months or more recommended), plus a photocopy.
  • Approved Travel Authorisation PDF for every traveller, children included.
  • Confirmed return flight itinerary with the same names as the passports.
  • Hotel confirmations for every night, covering every island you visit.
  • Bank statement or balance letter (last 3 to 6 months) and an international card.
  • Travel insurance certificate covering medical treatment and evacuation.
  • For couples: a copy of the nikah nama is useful if names differ, although Seychelles does not formally require it.
  • For a child travelling with one parent: a consent letter from the other parent is a sensible precaution, especially for airline checks.
  • Yellow fever certificate only if your route involves a country where the disease is endemic (see below).

Yellow fever and other health points

Pakistan is not a yellow fever country, so travellers flying from Pakistan through Dubai, Doha or Abu Dhabi do not need a yellow fever certificate. The rule changes if you route through Africa.

The portal says the certificate is required if you are travelling from an endemic country or region, but not for a transit of less than 12 hours at an airport in such a region. Ethiopia and Kenya are on the yellow fever risk list, so a long layover in Addis Ababa or a combined Kenya and Seychelles holiday means you should carry the certificate, and the vaccine must be taken at least 10 days before arrival. Our Kenya visa guide for Pakistanis covers that combination in more detail.

Mistakes that get Travel Authorisations delayed or denied

  • Using a fake or agent website. Only seychelles.govtas.com and the official app are real. Unofficial sites charge extra and may never submit your data.
  • Unlisted accommodation. A private flat, a friend's spare room without an invitation letter or a property missing from the tourism list can lead to denial.
  • Name mismatches. The name on the ticket, hotel booking and passport must match. Watch for swapped first and last names, a common issue with Pakistani bookings.
  • Blurry uploads. Phone photos of the passport taken under a tube light often have glare across the MRZ.
  • Applying too early or too late. More than 30 days ahead is not possible; a few hours before the flight leaves no time for corrections.
  • Thin funds. A balance far below US$150 per day, or a large deposit made the day before travel, invites questions on arrival.

If a TA is denied, you cannot travel on it. The portal directs questions and appeals to Seychelles Immigration at info@immigration.gov.sc. Fix the reason first, then submit a new, accurate application rather than repeating the same one.

Flights from Pakistan to Seychelles and a Realistic Budget

Pakistani couple walking from a small inter-island propeller plane at the Praslin airstrip in the Seychelles after a connecting flight

Once the Seychelles visa for Pakistani travellers is sorted, flights become the biggest cost. There is no direct flight between Pakistan and Seychelles, so every trip involves one connection. The most common routing is through the Gulf. Emirates connects Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad with Dubai and flies Dubai to Mahe daily, with the second leg taking roughly four and a half hours. If the flight numbers on that kind of connecting itinerary confuse you, the page on Emirates' EK code and Dubai hub on IATA.co shows how the airline's codes appear on a booking.

Other one-stop options include Qatar Airways through Doha, which Tourism Seychelles says has flown four weekly flights since 16 June 2026; Air Seychelles from Abu Dhabi; and Ethiopian Airlines through Addis Ababa, which is often cheaper but brings the yellow fever transit rule into play on long layovers. Frequencies change by season, so check the airline and the Seychelles Airports Authority flight schedule before you pay. Keep your full journey on one ticket so a delay on the first leg is the airline's problem, not yours.

Do you need a UAE or Qatar transit visa?

Not if you stay airside. On a single ticket with a normal connection, you remain in the transit area in Dubai or Doha and need no visa. If you want a stopover night in Dubai, that requires a UAE visa, and you should allow time for it.

A realistic budget for a Seychelles trip from Pakistan

Seychelles is a premium destination, and costs vary hugely by season and hotel class, so treat these as planning ranges per person for a 6 to 7 night trip, not Easy Visa quotes:

ItemWhat to plan for
Return flights via the GulfVaries with season and booking time; check live fares from your city, as December and Eid holidays are the most expensive
Travel AuthorisationAbout EUR 12 to 13 on the standard tier
AccommodationGuesthouses and self-catering units are the budget option; beach resorts cost several times more per night
Tourism levySCR 75 or SCR 100 per night at medium and large hotels; none at small guesthouses
Inter-island travelFerry or short domestic flight between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue
Food, transport, activitiesCovered by the US$150 per day you must be able to show

Estimates only: prices move with the season and the rupee, and nothing here is a fixed package price. For a quote that matches your dates and hotel level, message WhatsApp +92 331 1442249 with your city and travel month. If the total looks high, Sri Lanka is a cheaper island alternative; see our Sri Lanka trip guide.

Seychelles Honeymoon from Pakistan: Islands, Food and Timing

Pakistani honeymoon couple cycling past palm trees and an ox cart on a quiet road on La Digue island in the Seychelles

For many Pakistani couples, Seychelles sits on the honeymoon shortlist next to the Maldives. The Seychelles visa for Pakistani couples is just as light as the Maldives process, and the islands feel more varied: granite mountains, rainforest and quiet villages, not only resort villas over the water. If you are still choosing between the two, our Maldives visa guide for Pakistanis and Maldives trip guide cover the alternative.

Mahe, Praslin and La Digue in one week

  • Mahe (2 to 3 nights): the main island and arrival point. Victoria, one of the smallest capitals in the world, has the little silver clock tower and a lively market. Beau Vallon is the easy swimming beach, and the Morne Seychellois hills have short hiking trails with big views.
  • Praslin (2 to 3 nights): reached by fast ferry or a short domestic flight. The Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site, protects the famous coco de mer palms, and Anse Lazio is often called one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere.
  • La Digue (1 to 2 nights or a day trip): a short ferry hop from Praslin, best explored by bicycle. Anse Source d'Argent, with its pink granite boulders, is the island's signature beach.

Book every island in the TA. The officer and the portal want to see accommodation for each place you stay, so a couple who adds Praslin later should update the application.

Halal food, prayer and modest dress

Seychelles has a small Muslim community and a mosque in Victoria for Jumu'ah. Halal-certified meat is not available everywhere, so many Pakistani travellers rely on the excellent fresh fish, seafood, vegetarian Creole curries, rice and lentils. Before you book, ask the hotel by email whether it can serve halal chicken or meat; larger resorts often arrange it on request. All beaches in Seychelles are public, and modest swimwear is perfectly normal, so women who prefer a full-coverage swimsuit will feel comfortable.

When to go

Seychelles is warm all year. The calmest seas and clearest water usually come in the transition months of April to May and October to November, between the two trade-wind seasons. December to February is wetter but popular with winter holidaymakers, and it is also when wedding season in Pakistan pushes honeymoon demand and fares up. Book three to four months ahead for December travel.
